About
I've spent 30 years keeping high-stakes systems secure. Now I do it for AI.
Refined through work at
I'm Craig Martin. I've led security and infrastructure engineering inside some of the most demanding environments there are: GE Digital's Predix platform, Intel, and Verizon, where the cost of a mistake is measured in outage, breach, or lives. I've run systems at 350k+ concurrent users at six-nines, and built under AWS GovCloud constraints.
Most companies adopting AI today are being sold demos. But AI without governance is a security incident waiting to happen, and governance without shipping is slideware. I work where AI, security, and governance meet: the place where policy becomes code you can actually run and audit.
I haven't replaced engineers with AI; I've built the guardrails that let teams ship with it safely. That's the same approach I bring to clients through craigema.com, and to the wider engineering community through Way-Of.
With delivery partners in Finland and Sweden, I'm EU-native by build, not by patch. That matters enormously now that the EU AI Act is here.
